Web 2.0, simply put, is the name given to the new, "user-centered" web which began around 2004. Web 2.0 refers to web sites that allow you, the user, to create your own content, such as with blogs, wikis, reader-posted online comments, micro-blogging, social networks, video hosting sites, and web-based applications.
